My beautiful Grace.  Here we are in the last summer before she heads of to kindergarten this fall.  How can that be?  How are we already here?  It seems like yesterday I was rocking my 5lbs 13oz newborn baby, wish & hoping time would speed up through those tough first nights/weeks/months.  But now I am wishing, hoping & praying it would slow down.  I want to freeze her here at this age, I love five.  She is sweet, caring, independent, stubborn and inquisitive.  My Grace is a lovely, smart, vivacious and a determined girl.  I love her love for life and her family.  She wants to grow and learn and cannot wait for what comes next.  She is a girl on the go and I know she is going places. Big, important places.  Her next step, small as it may seem, is heading off to kindergarten. She will go this fall, ready & confident.  She wont even look back for me or her dad because that is who she is. I on the other hand am none of those things.  She is my baby, the tiny person who made me a mommy.  I have spent everyday all day with her since the day she was born.  It will be a change for both of us, a change she is craving.  Even though I am hesitant, I can't help but feel and share her excitement.  She talks about starting school all the time, she wants to go now.  I love that she is not scared and is so secure that she knows I will be right here when she gets off that bus each and every day.  So though I am sad that part of our life is changing,  I am excited to see what she will do next, how much she will grow and who she will become.  Our sweet Gracie girl ♥
