Saturday March 8th I received a call at 2am that this little guy was making his way into this world. I jumped out of bed and ran out the door, headed to the hospital about 50 minutes away. When I arrived mom was in very active labor and doing an amazing job. Zane arrived almost exactly an hour after I got there, though mom had been in labor for over 24 hours at that point. She was amazing as was her support system. The nurses at the hospital were great too, of course in taking care of mom but also making sure I had great angles to get the shots they knew mom might want.

Here is the story of baby Zane's birth day! Thank you so much to his mom and dad for allowing me to share it with all of you.

This sweet girl came to see me on her first birthday! It was so fun to celebrate a small part of her day taking her photos and doing a cake smash. Her mom came prepared with outfits and props, it made my job easy :) Happy 1st Birthday Miss W!

I took Miss M's newborn photos a little over 3 months ago. She is an absolute doll and I was so excited when her mom contacted me for 3 month photos! This can be a tricky age to photograph but I still love it. Here are a few photos of this beautiful girl.

A little project I have been working on ~ Southern Maine Photographer

So here is a project I have been slowly working on for a few weeks. It isn't finished but it has come a long way! This is my new small in home studio space. I have been needing/wanting a place that is designated to my photography, even if it is only to store all my stuff! This is a small room in the downstairs of our home. My awesome brother came over a few weeks ago and painted it for me (thanks Matt!) and my husband helped me put up the shelves. It is still a work in progress: I want to get a few canvas prints for the walls and I still need more storage/display shelves (I have a million headbands, diaper covers, size 3-12 month hats, etc I need to figure out how to display). I also need a few chairs for clients. I want my studio to be bright, modern and simple. I want it to be easy to work in and comfortable for all of you.

The space is best for newborns, babies, and 2 maybe 3 siblings at a time. I have had a few sessions in here so far and it has worked great. I will post a few more photos as it is finished.

As much as I love my new space I am REALLY looking forward to getting back outside for photos, if this winter ever ends!
